This unfortunate incident marks the second time the Polygon network has faced a significant security breach. Earlier this year, hackers successfully made off with nearly $600 million worth of crypto assets. However, in a surprising turn of events, the hacker eventually returned all the stolen funds. Despite the shocking nature of the alleged hack, it appears that the negative news has not significantly impacted the trade price of Matic, Polygon's native coin. At the time of writing, Matic is trading at $0.66, reflecting a marginal increase of 1.7% over the past 24 hours.
