India's trade deficit narrowed in May.
Jin10 Data, June 16 - According to data released by the government on Monday, India's merchandise trade deficit narrowed to $21.88 billion in May, lower than analysts' estimate of $25 billion and also down from $26.42 billion in April. The data shows that merchandise exports in May amounted to $38.73 billion, while imports reached $60.61 billion. Meanwhile, India's Trade Minister Sunil Barthwal stated that the services trade surplus in May is estimated at $14.65 billion, with service exports rising to $32.39 billion and imports increasing to $17.14 billion.
