Odaily News Institutions research suggests that the broader application of payment stablecoins is expected to drive up the net demand for U.S. Treasury bonds and other high-quality liquid assets (HQLA). Although the specific scale of new net demand remains to be observed, it is estimated that every $1 trillion in stablecoins could generate a net demand of $100 billion to $300 billion for U.S. Treasury bonds.
