Commander of a Bolivian elite military unit arrested for participating in a failed coup

On July 2nd, Jin10 Data reported that on July 1st local time, Vladimir Lupa Salamanca, the commander of the elite F10 group of the Bolivian Armed Forces, who participated in an attempted coup in Cochabamba, was arrested and transported to the capital La Paz. Bolivian Interior Minister Carlos Eduardo Del Castillo and Deputy Minister of the Interior and Police Aguilera revealed that in the attempted coup, 19 F10 soldiers were sent to La Paz with large-caliber weapons and sniper rifles. Burnt evidence was found in Salamanca's car. The Ministry of the Interior is currently conducting analysis. Prior to the attempted coup, a C-130 Hercules transport plane was dispatched to the central and southern city of Tarija to transport relevant personnel to La Paz. The Bolivian F10 group is composed of elite officers and soldiers selected from the army, air force, and navy, who have received specialized training in counter-terrorism and major kidnapping, and has a training center in Cochabamba.
