UPCX suffered unauthorized access, with approximately 70 million USD worth of UPC tokens flowing out abnormally.
According to BlockBeats news, on April 1, the Japanese open source payment system UPCX announced that unauthorized activities involving project management accounts had been detected. As a precautionary measure, immediate actions are being taken to ensure platform security. The deposit and withdrawal functions of UPCX have been temporarily suspended. User assets remain secure and unaffected. Previously, Cyvers Alerts issued a warning indicating that multiple suspicious transactions involving UPCX had been detected. It appears that someone gained access to address 0x4C....3583E, upgraded the "ProxyAdmin" contract, and executed the "withdrawByAdmin" function, leading to the transfer of 18.4 million UPCs (approximately 70 million USD) from three different management accounts.
