In a qualitative escalation of Operation
#SolidBunyan , Pakistan carried out a large-scale cyber attack that compromised a large number of sensitive Indian websites. Among the sites hacked was the official website of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), in addition to websites belonging to the Criminal Investigation Agency, Maha Nagar Telecommunications Company, the Indian Land Equipment Company, and the Technical Society for Maritime Supervision of India, all of whose content was deleted.
The attacks also included the leaking of data from sensitive sites such as Hindustan Aeronautics, the Border Security Force, the Unified Identity Authority of India, the Indian Air Force, and the Maharashtra State Election Commission. According to sources, more than 2,500 surveillance cameras were also hacked, in a cyber strike that reflects Pakistan's growing ability to penetrate enemy digital infrastructure.
