USDFC is about to be launched: Unlocking a new era of dollar liquidity in the Filecoin ecosystem.

Abstract generation in progress

After two rounds of rigorously controlled testing, USDFC—the first stablecoin backed by native FIL—will officially open to the public this week. This article will guide you through:

The evolution process from Alpha testing to Beta testing, and why its price peg mechanism is so stable.

The operating principle of USDFC (110% collateralization rate).

The actual utility that you can use immediately.

and how we will build the next steps to make borrowing and lending simpler.

From Alpha to official release

USDFC has been operating in a controlled environment for several weeks, with a 24/7 arbitrage bot responsible for maintaining the price peg. After a comprehensive testing program, we are confident that this stablecoin is ready for public use.

Alpha - March 2025

External security audits and adversarial attack simulations.

Swap pool deployment and intensive internal "dog-food" trading (internal testing).

Listed on CoinGecko, DeFiLlama, GLIF Explorer, and other analytics dashboards.

Beta - Since April 2025

Bug Bounty Program: We received 36 reports from 19 white hat participants; no critical issues were found.

Crypto Econ Lab (CEL) led comprehensive stress tests: including liquidation, redemption loops, and extreme scenarios.

The price peg monitoring robot runs in real-time, making continuous adjustments.

Key Beta metrics so far

SushiSwap trading volume: over $100,000 per week

Total loan transaction volume: > 250,000 USD

USDFC annualized yield (APR): For iFIL / pFIL collateral, it is 8-10%, and its own staking yield is also close to that range.

Official Release - At FIL Dev Summit 6

Due to the stable price peg, the code has been tested in practice and already has actual liquidity, we are pleased to move to a fully public version. Starting from the first block, every Filecoin wallet will be able to mint, exchange, lend, and bridge USDFC.

In short, USDFC

Lock FIL in the Vault.

Mint USDFC with a collateral ratio of up to 110%.

Redeem at any time by burning USDFC and withdrawing the same FIL.

If your collateralization ratio is below 110%, the stable pool will repay the debt and liquidate the Vault - this process will now be quickly arbitraged by our bot.

Since users do not need to sell FIL to release liquidity, USDFC helps to alleviate the severe price fluctuations that still exist in the Filecoin market.

The current use of USDFC

Swap ( transaction ): SushiSwap V3 is now live, allowing swaps between FIL/USD and USD/axlUSDC.

Payment (: Lighthouse now accepts USDFC for long-term storage fees, achieving the first true dollar payment for Filecoin.

Mint ↔ redeem ), no slippage: FIL holders can mint USDFC for operational costs and later burn the tokens to recover their original FIL—without OTC transactions (, with no price impact.

Lend & borrow ) lending (, using liquid staking FIL: iFIL and pFIL (≈ 10% staking yield) can be used as collateral. Their yields effectively offset 8-10% of the borrowing costs, creating a balanced market where lenders can earn significantly higher annualized returns in USD compared to the DeFi average.

Bridge and cross-chain Swap ): Through Axelar + Squid Router, USDFC will be transferred with one click to any EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) chain, enabling additional yield strategies on DeFi platforms.

The Importance of High-Yield USD

The Filecoin ecosystem has long lacked seamless on-chain USD liquidity. USDFC fills this gap while providing attractive returns. By allowing users to borrow instead of sell, it helps stabilize prices; by offering double-digit USD yields that can be cross-chain in a single jump, it brings fresh capital into Filecoin—this is the fuel needed for the network's continued growth.

Next step plan

Q4 2025

Launch a pool-based lending market next to the existing order book, providing passive users with one-click deposits.

A dedicated market-making treasury will provide additional liquidity for the two lending venues, narrowing the spread and optimizing the borrowing experience.

Whether you are a storage provider for expanded hardware, a yield hunter seeking real annualized returns, or a cross-chain investor looking for the next compound cycle, USDFC has opened doors that did not exist before. Early adopters will receive the most generous incentives through the Secured Finance Points (SFP) program. Join us in forging the first block of high-yield USD on Filecoin.
