WSJ: President Trump Secretly Approves Plan to Attack Iran

President America Donald Trump has informed senior advisers that he has approved plans for an attack on Iran, but has postponed the final order to see whether Tehran will abandon its nuclear program. The above information was reported by the Wall Street Journal of America on June 18, citing three people familiar with the internal discussions, and was also reported by the Reuters news agency on the same day. In a related development, The Times of Israel reported that President Donald Trump stated that the possibility of the Iranian regime collapsing is entirely feasible. In response to a related question from a reporter in the Oval Office of the White House, Mr. Trump said: "Of course, anything can happen, right?" When asked whether America is preparing for this scenario, Trump affirmed: "We have plans for every situation" and added that he would meet with security advisors in the Situation Room within the next hour. President Trump once again emphasized that Iran should have accepted America's nuclear deal proposal before the 60-day deadline he set. When asked what caused him to shift from supporting negotiations with Iran to possibly approving an American attack on Tehran's nuclear facilities, President Trump pointed to the result of the opening strike carried out by Israel in the early hours of June 13 against this Islamic Republic. "The first night was brutal, and it knocked one side out," Mr. Trump said. Also on June 18, some American diplomats and family members were allowed to leave the U.S. Embassy in Israel and are currently being evacuated from the country by the U.S. military via aircraft. The spokesperson of the U.S. State Department stated: "Due to the current situation and according to the permitted departure regulations of the embassy, mission personnel have begun to leave Israel by various means." According to an official, those who were flown out on June 18 included staff from the head of the mission, and many other military evacuation flights are expected to take place in the coming days. Inside the State Department, two officials said that there have been in-depth discussions in recent days about the possible evacuation of the entire U.S. Embassy in Israel, and any decision on this matter is expected to be made by the White House.
