Cryptocurrency billionaire bites off the finger of a kidnapper in ambush

Australian cryptocurrency billionaire Tim Heath narrowly escaped being kidnapped in Estonia last year when he bit off part of his attacker's index finger. The incident occurred when Heath, a seasoned investor, was attacked by two men disguised as painters in the stairwell of the apartment building. The assailants had planned to force Heath into a van, but he managed to escape and sought refuge in his apartment.

A group of seven kidnappers had previously tracked Heath and used fake passports to enter Estonia. A hacker is also believed to have been involved in the plan. After the attack, Heath spent more than 3.1 million dollars on personal security and moved house. His legal team is seeking compensation from the alleged kidnappers.
