DePIN+AI Drives a New Era of Bots Technology
The combination of decentralized physical infrastructure networks ( DePIN ) and artificial intelligence ( AI ) is bringing new possibilities for Bots technology. This fusion is referred to as DePAI, and it is expected to address some key challenges in AI development, pushing Bots technology towards a more open and sustainable future.
The DePIN network can become the "five senses" and "limbs" of AI, helping AI better perceive and interact with the real world. The real-world data collected through DePIN can be used to train AI models with stronger embodied intelligence. DePIN can also improve the capital efficiency of AI development, allowing more small and medium-sized teams to participate, thus preventing technology from being monopolized by a few large companies. In addition, DePIN is exploring new business models for AI Bots, such as autonomously operated AI agents.
In terms of market size, DePIN currently accounts for only 0.1% of the entire AI market, indicating significant growth potential. Although the total amount of financing for DePIN remains stable, the scale of individual financing is increasing, suggesting that the field is gradually maturing. Mainstream institutions are also beginning to pay attention to DePIN projects, such as Grayscale including two DePIN projects in its key focus list for the Q2 report.
