#TON# TON Blockchain: The Innovative Path to High Concurrency and Scalability


The TON blockchain is a decentralized computing network composed of a main chain and multiple components. It was initially developed by the founder of an instant messaging software and his team, and is now maintained by a global community of independent contributors. In 2017, the team began exploring blockchain solutions, and after failing to find an existing L1 blockchain that met the needs of its large user base, they decided to design a blockchain system called the Open Network. In 2018, they launched a token sale. After exiting the project in 2020 due to regulatory issues, some open-source developers took over the codebase, renamed it to Open Network, and continued development.
As a decentralized execution environment, TON faces challenges of high concurrent requests and massive data processing.
