Trump's fourth round of NFTs goes live, with dinner together as the biggest selling point.
A new round of NFTs is launched, Trump once again attracts the encryption community's follow.
Less than a month after the Bitcoin sneakers sold out, Trump launched his fourth series of NFTs. On the evening of August 27, the 2024 Republican candidate announced the new series on his personal social platform: "Trump Digital Trading Cards, Series Four: America First." This NFT release not only includes digital cards but also comes with multiple privileges, the most eye-catching of which is the opportunity to have dinner with Trump by purchasing 75 NFTs.
Although NFT sales revenue is not counted as political fundraising, Trump's current fundraising situation is not optimistic. As of the end of July, his campaign's funds are significantly less than those of his main competitors. Therefore, this NFT release is seen as a means of generating momentum, especially to attract the attention of encryption supporters. Trump emphasized again in the promotional video his identity as the "crypto president."
The new series of NFTs includes 50 different digital cards, themed around the image of Trump, featuring dance poses and photos of him holding Bitcoin, among others. These NFTs will be minted on the Polygon network, with a total expected quantity of up to 360,000.
The official website offers various purchase options, ranging from a single piece for $99 to large-scale purchase packages. For example, purchasing 15 NFTs includes fragments of the suit worn by Trump during the debate and limited edition sneakers. The highest tier package is priced at $24,750 and includes VIP dinner tickets, an opportunity to have cocktails with Trump, and a limited edition of 25 Bitcoin inscription NFTs.
Despite the considerable profits that previous rounds of NFTs brought to Trump, there has been a noticeable decline in their floor prices recently. However, Trump is still actively campaigning for the election. He confirmed that he will participate in the presidential debate on September 10 and plans to appoint a new co-chair for the transition team to enhance his appeal to voters.
Currently, Trump is lagging behind major opponents in fundraising. Reports indicate that his campaign is raising less than in previous years, and some supporters have expressed concerns about his campaign strategy. However, the Trump team claims to be prepared for the final push in November. Whether this NFT sale can help Trump turn the situation around remains to be seen.
