According to crypto journalist Eleanor Terrett, Wyoming has officially launched a stablecoin called Frontier Stable Token (FRNT), becoming the first U.S. state government to issue its own stablecoin. FRNT is backed by U.S. dollars and short-term U.S. Treasury bonds, and is currently live on 7 blockchains, including Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Polygon, Optimism, and Base. Due to ongoing regulatory hurdles, the token is not yet available to the public.
