FTX Founder Sam Bankman-Fried Posts His First Post in Two Years! FTT Price Has Experienced Pump - Dump!
Sam Bankman Fried***, the founder of ***FTX, which suddenly went bankrupt in 2022 and caused a major crash in Bitcoin (BTC) and altcoin, posted on X for the first time since January 2023.
In his account post, SBF discussed the company's layoffs and management issues.
SBF published a series of 10 tweets about layoffs, referring to Elon Musk's efforts to federal employees to send their work activities via email or face the risk of resigning last week.
Following SBF's post, FTT briefly rose by over 29%.
A source told Coindesk that SBF does not have direct access to sites like X or email, but he is able to send messages through the Corrlinks system, which allows inmates in the U.S. to communicate with others. However, it is not yet clear who shared the tweets on behalf of Sam Bankman-Fried.
Trump Forgives, I Joined DOGE!
SBF's post 2 years later also spurred scammers into action, and a fake SBF account claimed to have been pardoned by US President Donald Trump and joined DOGE.
The fake SBF account later announced the issuance of a memecoin along with a corresponding contract address. Subsequently, this account was given a gray verification check mark by X; this indicates that the account belongs to a government or a multilateral organization. This shows clear identity and information fraud related to the account.
Bankman-Fried, convicted of seven different fraud and conspiracy crimes in November 2023, is serving a 25-year prison sentence. While his lawyers appeal his conviction, he is currently held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
