Abstract generation in progress

World Mobile is deploying a 5G network integrated with blockchain, using drones to transmit direct connections to users worldwide. The company is partnering with Protelindo (Indonesia) to launch the World Mobile Stratospheric project, aiming to fill the gap that traditional telecommunications infrastructure has not covered.

The project uses hydrogen-powered drones flying at an altitude of 60,000 feet in the stratosphere, providing wireless coverage of up to 15,000 km² per unit, with 450 navigation signal beams. This technology achieves a latency of just 6ms and data costs that are up to 18 times cheaper than satellites.

The airplane has a wingspan of 56m, weighs 4 tons, and operates continuously for 9 days before landing to refuel. However, the project faces challenges related to technical issues, high-altitude climate, cosmic radiation, and aviation regulations.

World Mobile competes with Helium Mobile and Starlink, but targets areas with more mobile users rather than remote regions.
