Institutions: Supply of DDR4 and LPDDR4 is converging, and there may be structural shortages in the second half of the year, with prices rising significantly.

Jin10 data reported on August 11th, according to a recent survey by TrendForce, the DDR4 market in the second half of 2025 is expected to be in a continuous state of supply-demand imbalance with strong price rises. The rigid orders from servers have squeezed the supply for the PC and Consumer markets, forcing PC OEMs to accelerate the adoption of DDR5 solutions, while Consumer manufacturers are facing challenges with high prices and difficulty in obtaining materials. The tight supply and demand in the DDR market has also pushed up the contract prices for Mobile DRAM, with the third quarter LPDDR4X increase being the largest single-quarter rise in nearly a decade.
